We just spent 9 days in Utah, when I turned in our SUV the Budget lady was surprised at our very low rate. She looked at me and said "you got this through Costco, right?" When I told her we had, she said that family and friends are always asking her for a rate hookup and she tells them that Costco is lower than even she can get as an employee. I told her about the time I had a full-size car for $7 a day at SLC and the guy at the counter was so pissed off about it he made a copy of my reservation so he could complain to management that my deal was far better than his employee discount.
