Is he good enough to dominate in college or the D League, but the jump from there to the NBA is so significant that his skills don't transfer?
It's hard to say he hasn't been given a chance in the NBA since he's had a shot with 4 different teams (including the Pelicans twice) without making much of an impact. Perhaps it could be that at the NBA Jimmer's only shot is as an outside shooter and scorer, and if he's not hitting shots there's not a place for him. Bottom line, he's got to hit shots. Maybe the D League will allow him to get his confidence back. But just watching the highlights it looks like he had the ball in his hands a lot. Not sure any NBA team will allow him to do that, which seems to be when he flourishes.
It will definitely be interesting to see what the future holds for Jimmer. I've felt for awhile he should find a comfortable situation in Europe. He could make a good living and do well over there. No shame at all in that.
