with a coach and system who seems open to allow him to play according to his skillset, and not force him into situations that emphasize things that were never his skillset. He IS NOT a lock-down defensive specialist, and IS NOT a spot-up 3 point shooter. It's amazing how some people use videos of him launching 3's to draw the conclusion that he's a Steve Kerr, or JJ Redick - when he clearly is not. He does his best damage with the ball in his hands, and especially when in transition, and when the other players have to try to guess what he's going to do next, since he can score and create in so many different ways, and has an uncanny, almost superhuman ability to read angles, assess floor spacing, and predict what and how other players are going to do to defend him.
Also, he doesn't have as many ego's around him like Tyreke Evans and D. Cousins who resent seeing him succeed, and do everything in their power, including whining to management and coaches, to see that he doesn't succeed. With all of those shackles hopefully behind him (for now), he is finally free to do what he has always been capable of doing - lead a team!
