Smith could play all three positions and did play all three.

he could shoot, pass and handle like a 3, but had trouble defending quicker threes, where he would take advantage of them in the post. Smith was one of the most versatile frontcourt players BYU has ever had. Probably the most versatile froncourt player. In his short NBA stint, he was a 3.
