I am a football watcher. I have never coached. But it seems most of BYU's routes are quick hitches or curls or some outside verticals -- fades, skinnies, wheel. You don't see much going lateral. Very little in the way of digs/slants/drags. Almost no bunches/rubs/picks. It just seems the routes BYU runs would be easier to defend than having to worry about guys running across the field like the old BYU offenses.
