I will always support Byu teams, but I have to say I think this may be my least favorite basketball team since the Danny Bower years. And I'm not just saying that because we lost today. I felt like that after the St. Mary's Win too.

This team has some great individuals parts. Obv KC is a great player and his triple doubles are something that may never be matched. I like Davis slow but steady improvement in the post. Even though initially I couldn't stand Fischers play he has really come around to be a dependable scorer for us. The freshmen at times have showed flashes of greatness.

But over all I do not think this team plays together well. I have no idea why. I heard Davis say they all like each other. Sure, their free throw shooting is atrocious and offense is spotty but I think the main problem is the defense. Maybe it takes some time to get used to the new defensive style that Lewis implemented. Or maybe we just don't have the guys to run it effectively. I don't know. But what I do know is we can't stop anyone. And we haven't been able to stop anyone for a long time.

On another note I think Emerys play of late is disconcerting to say the least. At the beginning of the year he seemed to be playing well and shooting well. Now he looks like a worse shorter version of Matt Carlino. I'm not saying that's what he always will be but he is really hurting the team over the last few games minus a few steals. I can see a scenario where , if Haws / Bryant are as good as advertised Emery doesn't start next year. He needs to see the floor better.

Finally - I sometimes wonder if Jimmer was detrimental to our future style of play. The reason other NBA teams don't play the way the Warriors play is because they don't have a Steph Curry. We seem to be playing the same way we did in the jimmer years except without a key missing ingredient... Someone like Jimmer.
