Obvious from his public statements Boren isn't satisfied with the status quo.
If the other schools choose to do nothing and Oklahoma decides to leave, that will severely weaken the conference.
OU is negotiating from a position of authority right now. If I'm the Big 12 I do what I can to keep Oklahoma happy because that means keeping the conference alive.
