Who is he saying is lacking the pair?
Is he talking about rose or the players?
If he's talking about players then who? I don't think the problem is wussiness, this would be the problem if we were scared and played soft against good intimidating teams.
Actually I think it's more of an issue of us not having players that fit the rose offense (our guards suck at shooting half the games). We don't have post players with more then one move (two of them have no moves).
We've actually played a lot better defense lately which goes against the lacking a pair narrative as well.

Think he's saying the players need to man up and play. Doesn't see coaching as the problem. Maybe wrong though.
