Been obvious since he was in high school during Jimmer's reign. He had the choice of which Cougar star to follow. Jackson's balanced game or Jimmer's unbelievable offensive game with all the attention. He chose the latter. That's why he chucked it from deep and on the fly so often in high school, and now again as a freshman in college. He wants the wow factor, the Jimmer factor.
What he doesn't realize is it took Jimmer time to hone his craft. He waited his time, deferred to the upperclass-men, didn't take ill advised shots. Then it was his time to shine.
Nick wanted to be Jimmer the first day he stepped on the floor but reality has set in. There are chemistry issues with the seniors, and he gets frustrated.

Carlino I was guilty of the same thing. Let's hope Nick can change unlike Matt did.
