Well. Great place. Head north or south of Missoula five miles and you can experience the a much greater western vibe. I'd recommend going a little further south than Missoula, like Lolo or Stevensville. Still an easy commute, but the smaller towns are some special communities.

Not that there is anything wrong with it, but Missoula seems to be going for a Portland Jr vibe.
