A comment on Mangum or Hill leaving b/o playing time.
I've seen a couple of posts suggesting that one of the two will inevitably leave if/when it becomes clear that they will ride the bench. I disagree for a few reasons.

First, even though we all hate the idea of a 2 QB system, this is one of the few cases where it might work. Two high quality QBs with completely different styles and strengths.

Second, assuming BYU opts to go with one QB, that decision likely won't be made until Fall because Hill probably won't be at full strength this spring. Neither QB will be in a position to change at that point.

Third, assuming, somehow, that BYU makes a decision during Spring it would make no sense for Mangum to change. He'd have to sit out the coming year anyway, so why not stay at BYU and maybe get a shot on the field to backup a QB who has a history of injury. Hill 'might' change, but we really don't know that he'll want to switch. He may very well think his chances to shine in fall camp after his foot is completely healed, gives him a better chance sticking with his current team than in trying to move into a brand new program at the last minute. This would be especially true at a program returning a veteran QB, such as Virginia.

Bottom line: I simply don't agree with those who think it's inevitable that one of the two will transfer.
