I just bought a new car this week, and (as I expected) the finance guy really pushed to sell the extended warranty and prepaid service packages. I understand that these are a big money maker to the dealers. I'm curious how many people actually buy these packages. I'm not trying to start a discussion of pros/cons, but merely to understand if my response was in line with what is common with most new car purchases.
