Interesting post... I'm hoping
that TD will be able to set a game plan that is unpredictable. I'm hoping the in-game adjustments will make life very hard for opposing defenses.

If Boise State has done anything well over the last decade or so, it has been cooking up schemes that keep defenses off balance.

My sense is that Anae, while a very good coach, was quite dependent on the same flavor of vanilla bean ice cream without regard to what the strengths of the opposing team were. This allowed teams like Utah and Michigan with talented players to memorize offensive sets and then use their athleticism to jump routes for turnovers or breakups.

We need creativity to bridge the speed and talent gap. I remember Lavell taking a highly productive pass offense and going up to Rice Eccles and running the ball 60 times because that was where the weakness was.

My $1000 worth of season tickets will be well spent if I see the football IQ and creativity of this coaching staff ratchet up a bit.
