head coaches to ever win a Super Bowl. They also had the worst starting QB to ever win a Super Bowl and while they had a good defense, it definitely wasn't the best of all time.
So with all of that they beat by two touchdowns a Panther team that was 17-1 and led the NFL in margin of victory by over 3 points per game. The Panthers hadn't trailed a single second in the postseason and had only been tied for 8 minutes of football the entire postseason.
And before that the Broncos beat arguably the #1 QB of all time in the AFC championship with all of those shortcomings.
Hm. Makes sense.
