The west has taken a step down this season. Two of the top three teams in the west are at risk of losing a large amount of their star talent (SA and OKC). The Clippers are an implosion waiting to happen. Outside of the Jazz, in the west, who has more young talent...Minnesota has a lot of young talent, and I see them making a leap in a couple of years. Portland, Sac Town, New Orleans...teams that have 1 or 2 players that are stars or have star ability, but not much around them beyond that.

No question I am a fan, but I also watch the other teams and know where they sit. Sure, they could bring in other players, but as things stand right now and for next season, the Jazz have as good a chance as any to make a leap.
