New Zealand is currently playing South Africa. Game can be streamed on MLB.com. Not sure if they're showing it on TV on MLB Network or not.

It's a bit like watching high school ball with a couple prospects at around Single- or Double-A level sprinkled in, but it's still baseball that counts, and it's interesting to me to see the type of talent that is developing in nations that would likely consider the game of baseball pretty exotic a sport.

For example, kid gets walked, and the next batter RIFLES it toward the 5.5 hole. 3rd baseman makes an IMPRESSIVE horizontal leaping catch, pops back up and starts a smooth looking double play.

Thennnn... the next batter up puts a routine grounder to Short, who promptly airmails the ball nowhere CLOSE to the 1st baseman. If it weren't for some pretty solid athleticism from the 1st baseman, the ball'd've been in the stands.

Kinda funny. Still, it means baseball is coming!!!
