One of our sons has been doing cross-fit for over
3 years now. Physically, he's a completely different person. It has changed his life immensely for the better. I never thought one of our sons would be in as good of shape as he has reached. It's impressive. He's 6'1" and slim, but lean and ripped. Usually around 175.

He's in his mid 30's now, at one time, about a year out of high school got up to 265+. He got down under 190 on his own before getting into cross-fit.

He really got into it while he was single and now knows exactly what he needs to do to stay where he is physically. He got married last summer. His gf, now wife, knew exactly what his dedication level was and supported him all the way. No kids in the picture yet.

You have to be dedicated to it. At least 3 days a week from what I see. Less than and hour a day.

You have to be willing to work your way through some pain and not quit. It's very challenging. It's meant to give maximum effort no matter how good of shape you're in. He had to lay off once for about 2 months with a back injury that probably was related to the workouts.

Our son is good at keeping his life balanced, a person doesn't have to become a cross-fit junkie. Plus, he's made a lot of good friends.
