Does anyone really believe that blocking Tesla from selling cars in Utah
(direct to consumer sales) is somehow protecting the consumer? I guess the reason this gets me so frustrated is that the issue is so transparent; clearly dealerships are protecting their turf and using their lobbying power to strongarm the state into keeping Tesla out of Utah. The issue represents everything that is wrong with government; protecting special interests (dealerships) at the expense of their constituents.

I know this is old news but I got thinking about it today after reading about the upcoming Model 3. If it is everything that people are saying I would seriously consider it as my first all electric vehicle. But nope, won't be able to buy one in Utah because apparently I'm not smart enough to know what's best for me. Glad I got them dealerships watching out for me.
