Why the MWC officials blew the end of the Boise-Colorado St game...
You may or may not have seen that the MWC released the video that shows why they didn't allow the final shot in the end of the first overtime of the Boise game last night.

I think they were hoping to end the controversy and show how they got the call right. Ooops.

Yup, the onscreen overlay goes from 0 to 1.3 in the time takes for the ball to first touch the BSU players hands to the time it takes for him to release the shot. So. Mystery solved. They got the call right. Right? Wrong. It took about 5 seconds for anyone watching the video to realize that the overlay clock and the clock behind the scoreboard don't run at the same speed. In fact, the overlay clock runs almost twice as fast as the clock behind the backboard.

The officials were so caught up in technology that they threw common sense out the window, and made a really, really bad call. And the technology totally failed them. Leave it to the MWC to not know how to run their own clocks. Some intern probably typed the wrong frame rate into the settings, or entered the incorrect slow motion constant. Idiots. And it cost Boise the game.
