BYU’s Nick Emery sank 10 three-pointers and scored a career-high 37 points to propel the Cougars to a 114-89 win over USF on Thursday night on the Hilltop. Devin Watson’s 29 points led four Dons in double figures. Emery finished 12-of-15 from the field, hitting 10-for-12 from behind the arc, to set a school record for points by a freshman in a game and tie the program record for single-game treys. Jared Brownridge had 19 points, including seven in the last 2:25, and the host Broncos (9-16, 5-8 WCC) survived a late shooting slump to beat the Toreros (8-16, 3-10). Kevin “Yogi” Ferrell scored 14 points for the host Hoosiers (20-5, 10-2 Big Ten), who won after blowing a 16-point lead over the Hawkeyes (19-5, 10-2). George King scored 21 points, including a buzzer-beating three-pointer at the end of the first overtime, to help the host Buffaloes (18-7, 7-5 Pac-12) to a double-overtime win over the Cougars (9-15, 1-11), who got a career-high 25 points from Que Johnson in their 10th straight loss. Devin Hudson had 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Broncos (19-5, 10-3 WCC), who outscored the host Toreros (21-4, 11-3) in each quarter. Stella Beck scored 17 points and grabbed six rebounds for the Gaels (18-5, 9-3), but the host Waves (5-19, 1-12) went on a 12-2 run in the last 1:42. Erica Ogwumike led Pepperdine with 30 points and eight rebounds.
