probably as important as year in school. There are some for BYU that will be listed as senior that are not going to the draft because they are likely returning with a redshirt (Taysom). Or spent much of the year injured (Hine). Or ones we hardly (or wish we had hardly) heard of (Carter, Henderson, Taele, Kautai) or seen play. That alone is 6 of BYU's 18 listed seniors on this years roster that were not likely in the running.
I don't know much about the names on the rosters of the other teams and who was what level of contributor but what little I do know of Utah when looking at their roster - Wilson, Booker, Poole, Scott, Paul, Hackett all seem to be major multi-year contributors that are seniors this year. Probably a few more but I honestly don't follow them that much (guessing the Sack Lake City was motivated by some seniors on the DL/LB core that I just wouldn't know by name). I would know less about USU and other than Keeton and Fackrell am pretty clueless on contributors. And SUU don't ask...
At any rate contribution combined with class is part of the necessary mix (maybe even original recruiting stars/raw measurables/position if you wanted to be very indepth) and I pulled rosters from ESPN site (with the exception of SUU that is from their site) and will list only the numbers in each class below:
Class BYU Utah USU SUU
FR 53 45 38 20
SO 26 27 21 29
JR 33 29 30 21
SR 18 21 25 12
At any rate just from the numbers I'd say SUU is kind of a rock star of the group...
