TV money. If this hypothetical con formed it would need money generated through a TV contract with ESPN, FOX, or CBS sports network. All 3 (less with CBSSN) TV would control start times. On the football side of things most games would be aired at times you are seeing now, late on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Those are the times that need to be filled with west coast programming. The same could be said with BB as well. Late starts would be normal to work with TV programming needs. Unfortunately this is the new norm.
