also, from what I heard, apologized for in that same book described. I'm not sure there is a huge amount of evidence of a big smear campaign. They haven't really produced any evidence... If Manning did have some inappropriate behavior in the locker room involving this trainer, behavior which he later admitted was inappropriate and apologized for... I'd have to think this shouldn't be that big of an issue. Many athletes are out there doing much worse things. And it's not even close to Bill Cosby, drugging and raping woman after woman... Just doesn't seem like a big deal to me, as currently constructed. Manning did something wrong, but I don't know if holding it over his head after 20 years is needed. I don't see the evidence which would point to a huge scandal.

However, Tennessee could be another matter... if they were really promoting this type of behavior and doing things to her that would hurt her reputation among others in the school... they might need to take some heat for that.
