Picking up missionaries from their mission
I picked this category because it was about a BYU athlete.
I know a BYU athlete that is returning home from his mission this summer. His parents are flying overseas to pick him up.
I was under the impression that parents were not allowed to go pick up their missionaries. In my stake we have been told it is expressly prohibited by the church.
Is this true? Are parents allowed to go get them? Is this just some rogue parents going against the rules?

I can tell you that it is up to the MP. The church discourages it because their missions aren't over
