I got in to dental school on scholarship and my work history along with the grades I received while working full time was probably the most impressive thing on my resume according to multiple interviewers. My parents are poor immigrants and I knew to never expect anything from them and that made me even more hungry to succeed. I'm better for it and your son will be too. Even with my scholarship dental school was far too expensive and time consuming to pay for out of pocket so I finally had to take out loans.
