I believe Devon to be one of those people with such remarkable short-term focus that they lose their surroundings in the moment, which explains why he would repeatedly make difficult, heavily contested catches, but also make frustrating choices after the reception, often with no defenders in the area, such as turning toward the sideline and stepping out of bounds instead of turning inside with a high chance to score.
