Looking fwd: PAC's future expansion to 14 or 16
BYU to the Big 12 is bad for the PAC.
They know BYU is the flagship program for Utah and only let them slip away because their own arrogance against the Church.
When super conf arise, their choices are limited and dilutive now at best.
To protect their brand, it would be in tgeir best interest to swoop in and take BYU & CSU right now before they sign.
Forces Big 12 to take Houston overlaps existing territory, and they expand Eastward leaving the entire West to the PAC.
If not, the PAC will gun to steal away TX & OU in 2025, but if they don't get them ... Then they are stuck with UNLV, BSU, New Mexico and Nevada? All areas they currently dominate anyway and add no further value.
The PAC should make offers yesterday to BYU and CSU
