David Boren.
His viewpoints have come to fruition to date and have outlasted quotes coming from those connected to Texas, views of various media outlets, etc.
Chip Brown says geography is now a sticking point a couple of days after Boren said it was not much of an issue... rather electronic footprint is what matters.
Boren from the onset insisted that data would guide the choices. He used losing Louisville last time as an example of why. TCU and Texas politics were the reason for losing Louisville. Houston appears to be the same manifestation in the 2016 version of expansion.
I am of the opinion Boren has said multiple things in direct support of including BYU.
I am nervous about Texas, politics just like all of you. But, I think the media is oversimplifying the process. Just like when Ono's Big 12 communications went public a few months ago the instant consensus was UC was nearly a lock.
