(Or wasn't last time I was in the know 8 years ago) remotely close to 1 B. The explanation for a pathetic giving rate and low avg size of gift was that most alums feel they are already giving due to tithing and others feel tapped out due to tithing, large families, etc.

If it was reported as 1B, then they raised one heck of a lot of money in the last 8 years.

But the $140 number does seem off because the Marriott School was nearly half of that 8 years ago. Maybe they reported that by mistake.
