Summary.
Some takeaways and quotes from Paul ...
1) "BYU's the Best" (for Big12 Expansion)
2) "BYU's going to get in" ... saying that even if the Houston stuff does gain traction, it doesn't jeopardize BYU's position, but could take away from Cinci or others.
3) He's not buying the Houston hype ... gave them a "flavor of the day" label of sorts. Saying there was a memo to all Texas politicians to pimp Houston to the Big12, but he didn't think that would effect anything. Essentially implied/said Houston doesn't have the reputation and brand needed for Big12 inclusion.
4) He confirmed that history of Gov. Ann Richards getting Baylor into the Big12 over BYU. I had heard that a lot, but always wondered how much of that was Cougardom-lore or embellishment or just plain old apologetic sour grapes.
