I'll disagree with you there. On a typical week
many cyclists can burn 12000-15000 calories just on the bike. Losing weight comes down to taking in less energy (food) than you burn (exercise/living).

All the weight lifting and cardio in the world don't amount to anything if you're eating more than you need to.

Weight loss is more about diet than anything else.
