I've found that cardio and lifting are great, but it's really a mental thing.
Once I realized that I am happy with myself no matter what my weight is, I stopped wasting time at the gym and have a ton more time to spend doing things I love - like golf. I even have more family time, which is important too. Sure, I'll probably only rep 225 if I went back to the gym today, but I don't really need to be strong. I'm a dad. I work at a computer. Just my thoughts.

Also, be careful with this topic. You'll probably get some angry BMs from superkid, she's real passionate about lifting vs cardio for weight loss.
