There aren't very many examples of two P5 schools residing just 45 minutes from one another. It is going to take the rivalry up a notch. Add in the fact that there will be conference bragging rights on the line as well.

I also believe it has the potential to keep more big-time recruits at home for both teams. No longer will players believe that they have to leave the state for big-time football. And one of the nation's biggest rivalries will be right in their backyard.

Finally, it is my hope that both fan bases can be excited about their own situations and not focus so much of their fandom on the performance of the other team (and yes, I am looking at you fellow Ute fans). It might not be the case, but a guy can hope. Oh well, I will congratulate you guys if you make it and I will look forward to another great chapter in the storied rivalry.
