Let's say I make $20K a year, and I have two kids on WIC and I'm getting foodstamps, living in Idaho.
If my parents bought a car for me with the expectation that I would repay them, does it hurt my foodstamp case if each month I send the extra $200 that I don't spend to my parents in the form of a check? Would giving cash be a better alternative, or does it not really matter? Do the foodstamp administrator people care if I send a check to my parents and will they think I'm hiding assets and take away foodstamps? My parents don't live close, so a check would be much easier, but I don't want to harm my foodstamp benefit.
FYI, I also have other credit card debt and student loan debt, so the payment to my parents would appear to subordinate those debts.
TIA
