UT and OU competed in the Big 12 championship game 13 out of 15 times

(TAMU was the other team in the 2nd and 3rd years of its history), which is now just one step away from a berth in the CFP. And, they have total control over maximizing the value of their brand with their Tier 3 rights. Something USC does not have, for example.

Tell me again why UT and OU would want to go to the SEC or Big Ten?
