This is now a 30,000 acre 15% contained fire
Due to anger on social media, today the BLM, Idaho Falls Fire District, and Idaho Falls Fire Department admitted there are pockets throughout the Henry’s Creek and BlackHawk areas that are not covered by the BLM, Idaho Falls Fire Department or the Bonneville County Fire District. Finally the Idaho Falls Fire Department agreed to respond to a small fire that had grown to a 4-acre fire on Saturday evening. On Sunday due to strong winds, dry fuel and low humidity, the fire spread rapidly and the BLM, IFFD, Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office and surrounding departments came to assist. By then containment was impossible without calling in national guard and other federal resources.

So because this was "someone elses job", there is now a huge mess in some prime hunting and camping areas with loss of structures and cattle. On the plus side, all the police are keeping people out of the burning area, so everyone is driving whatever speed they feel like.

Ignoring a problem is a bad idea in public service.
