I just went back and looked at each of the first half throws Taysom made vs Nebraska. Out of the 26 times he threw the ball to intended targets (not counting throwaways), Taysom was on target 24 of 26 attempts, which resulted in just 19 completions. Within those 24 passes were: 2 dropped balls, a WR who got lost and didn't get his feet down, a PI with the ball on target for a TD, and a well defended route where the ball still hit the WR in the hands.

I really hope opposing defensive coordinators show the same disrespect of Taysom as a passer that the local media spits out. If so, he is going to absolutely shred defenses this year with his arm. Its like these guys have the 2013 game vs Utah so stuck in their heads that they don't recognize the strides he's made as a passer. In reality, Taysom looked as good throwing the ball in that first half against Nebraska as any of the great BYU QBs. Those deep outs he kept hitting reminded me a lot of the daggers John Beck delivered to beat TCU in 2006. It really was a great performance.
