Some good responses on a KSU article peddling UH & UC
Very recent article posted at a KSU site, showing no love for BYU while talking up UH & UC. The article itself is probably not even worth the read unless you're bored. However, besides the typical comments by what appear to be BYU fans (which are nice too) there are some funny comments from what appear to be non-BYU fans, but nevertheless critical of what the article is trying to sell. I find it interesting that KSU fans, with no vested interest in any candidates, are apparently catching onto the bigger picture and future of the league. Not just "flavor-of-the-day" teams being thrown out there.

a) "I really don't understand the hate fest on BYU. Do y'all really hate Mormons that much? I hate them as much as I hate all religions because they're all made up. This is football tho and we need to boost the league. Anyone who says Houston is a better football add than BYU is smoking a bad batch. There is miles of data that says differently. I will join you with your hate for Mormons but it makes sense complete sense to add them. Then we can knock their teeth in and save the league."

b) "Yeah, great lets add Houston. This will be a great way to water down our league and watch OU and Texas leave. Then we can have both Houston and Idaho State in our conference. Anyone but Houston. All they will do is steal our recruits."

c) "Houston may currently be the 15th best team in the country, but that's a lousy reason for inviting them to the Big 12. In case you hadn't noticed, football rankings change greatly from year to year. South Florida was at one time ranked #2 in football, so does that mean we should add them? Or how about Tulane which went undefeated one season and finished in the Top 10? Over history UH has not been a strong football school, and even with their good team last year they still didn't draw flies to their football games. They don't have a significant fanbase mainly due to being a commuter school, and they don't have the intangibles that a P5 school does. And most importantly they bring zero to the conference (we don't need another Texas school when we have that market wrapped up with two very large state schools in Texas, Tx Tech and to a lesser extent private schools like Baylor and TCU). Adding UH would be a mistake for so many reasons, but adding them simply because they happen to currently have a highly ranked football team would be naive, irresponsible, and stupid."

d) "Dude all they're gonna do is steal our recruits. I would take UConn or BYU any day over Houston because they have their own pool of recruits separate from ours.
Scared of competition? Get real, we need to save the F-ing league."
