This incident, where an underclassman QB was roughed up by some punks in the locker room was a blurb in the news last week.

Here's the rest of the story. The kid who was targeted by the punks is an LDS sophomore who was in competition to be the starting QB. He's been "the future of the program" since he was in 7th or 8th grade and is also a basketball star. The upperclassmen who have been hazing him for the most part are the AA upperclassmen who want their friend to be QB. Several of the taunts they used on him were based on him being a Mormon.

When the video came to light the school, in fear of having a racial incident on their hands, gave a token suspension to a few non starters and took the position that it was a minor incident. As a result they lost a future star QB as his parents took him out and have already enrolled him in a local private school. His mom is the one interviewed in the article.
