I'm not saying they have something against us, but I do think the narrative that
BYU is a physical team that does everything to gain an advantage has worked against us with the refs.

As an example, (and I know this is 2 different leagues) the Dallas Cowboys, whom I love, have gained the narrative that they are the best Oline in the NFL, and they are. However, this has allowed them to get away with a lot more holding than I see other NFL teams get away with. BYUs line has a minimal hold that normally wouldn't get called, and yet it hurts us on a pivotal drive. WV was getting away with more blatant holds the entire game.

My point is refs listen to sports talk and watch ESPN just like most of us. They are just as easily influenced as Joe Schmoe fan. Narrative matters and we are currently looked at as a team that commits a lot of penalties.
