My scouting report of Toledo, and why BYU will take them seriously:
Couple quick notes:

- Toledo went 10-2 last year.
- Toledo defeated Arkansas 16-12 in War Memorial Stadium, Little Rock, AR last year.
- Toledo defeated Iowa St at home 30-23 last year.
- Toledo is 3-0 with wins over Ark St, Maine and Fresno by a combined score of 128 - 30.
- Toledo's QB Logan Woodside leads the nation in QB rating at 200.
- Toledo's leading WR Cody Thompson leads the nation is yards per catch at 32.8. He averaged 22 per last season.
- Toledo is receiving votes in each of the major polls on ESPN.

My thoughts from watching pieces of Toledo games/highlights:

- Logan Woodside is for real. The kid has an arm, and is not afraid to look downfield. In fact, their passing game is quite the opposite of BYU. They do not rely on quick dink and dunk short passes. Woodsides completion percentage is relatively at 62% when you compare it with his outstanding 11-1 TD to Int and QB Rating. They look downfield often and take chunks at a time. He has the ability to hit his WR on a nice backside throw consistently.

- Defense: Their Passing D is ranked #4 in yards per game. #37 is rush per game. #3 in points per game. I think its important to recognize that they have not played great offenses to this point. In fact, they have played very unproductive offenses. For 2015 they ranked #24 in ppg on D, #107 vs the pass, #11 against the ground game.

- Offense: Their run game ranks #28 right now, pass game #15, #6 total offense and #19 ppg. They tend to score in bunches. Against Ark St, they didnt reach the endzone until the end of the 2nd Quarter, then threw down 31 points.

Players to watch:

- QB Logan Woodside. #11. Junior QB with a good arm and ability to place a nice deep ball.

- Cody Thompson. #25. Junior WR averaging over 30 per catch right now. It will be crucial to keep him in check.

- Treyvon Hester. #91 Senior DT has 3 sacks and 5 TFL.

My own thoughts:

- Toledos passing attack will test the BYU Secondary. They have a good QB and deep passing attack. Along with the pass game, they can move the move on the ground as well. This offense can score points.

- Toledo has shown that it can step up and play with P5's. Last year defeating Iowa St at home and Arkansas on the road.

- They are pretty happy with their D right now. They havent played anyone as talented as Jamaal. I think BYU needs to get the ground game going and control the pace of the game.

- I think if BYU plays their best ball, they can win by 10-14 points. If we hand them a pic 6 and are careless with the ball, it will be a much closer game and Toledo could possibly steal a W.
