Having grown up with a mother that made really good pies, and was known for
doing so, I have a hard time liking any production-style pie. In the case of pumpkin pie, it was always homemade, so I find many others subpar--including Costco's.
Fortunately for me, my wife learned pretty well (from my mother) how to make good pies.
