Tanner's overall competition was weaker than Taysom's competition to date.
Tanner was good for a true freshman, but he was very average in a lot of games. He was lucky in more than just the Nebraska game. He was very lucky in the Boise State game. He was constantly throwing off his back foot and heaving the ball into traffic. Call it luck, call it circumstances, but he wasn't the all-world QB that you all are making him out to be.
Taysom hasn't even gotten to the cupcakes yet. I bet that we'll see things even out (statistically) over the next couple of weeks.
Note: You also forgot to mention that Taysom has a new coaching staff and an entirely new system. He's also been away from the game for a year.
