Just to correct the record, 7 drops, 9 drops, and 6 drops in the games that I've
kept count.
How egregious is that? Well, UCLA coach Jim Mora was very upset about 4 drops in the game before they played BYU.

Anyway, on the main topic. As the backup, his job is to play backup. What does a backup do? Play in garbage time or in case of injury. That's it. Taysom hasn't been injured and we haven't had any garbage time, except in the case of MSU and Tanner came in to play
.
Remember the mantra we heard over and over (here on CB, too) that if you have two QB's you have no QB? Apparently the coaches believe this. The backup isn't owed time to prove what he can do, even if you wish he were.
Luckily for everyone here that is mad tanner hasn't played, he'll play in at least three of our next four games. Maybe even all four. There will be garbage time.
