Every conference has discontented teams (usually those at the top of the heap, Texas, UCLA, USC, etc) who resent being the cash cow for non performers constantly vying for the bottom of the conference.
As the TV landscape changes, I believe that conference affiliations will condense to eliminate the bottom feeders, sending them to G5 status. I'm not saying that schools get kicked out of conferences, rather that new conferences are formed, leaving them behind.
Just my opinion.
