Perfect example of why it isn't always best to go to best team in nation

Bateman was considered one of best college QB of his recruiting class--hence Alabama's interest. Sure, he can say he was on a NC team, but only as a backup (now 3rd string). Now he is going to transfer to get one last chance to actually play/start. Somehow I believe that he would have done things a little differently if he had known he wasn't ever going to get starting job. I wonder how many top LDS recruits go to Alabama-like schools not knowing they will only be a backup. I know every school has to do the same thing for depth but not with that level of talent.
