Looking at next seasons schedule, it's obviously another front loaded independent schedule we've gotten used too. I am of the mindset BYU will not be able to win the big time games because they are so early in the season where the with the most raw talent can win the early games because no teams are able to execute their game plans at a high level(Holy War this year)..So that had me thinking...If religious intolerance wasn't a valid excuse for not including BYU, Which P5 conference would you want the Cougars to join and why?
For me it's unfortunately those liberal bigots in the P12...I know our fan base has grown fond of the idea of the B12 and Texas but if you look at locations and competition, the P12 is the best for the Y. If BYU got included instead of CU then I believe SoCal stars w/ LDS ties would be flocking to play for Kalani(Juarez). BYU would be the hated team in the conference that opposing fans can't stand because BYU just Wins. The Holy War would be regarded as a rivalry up there w/ OSU vs UM, UF vs FSU, Auburn vs Bama...instead of now when we have SLC pizza delivery employees snubbing their nose at our team because we're not "P5". I attended the Rose BOWL game vs UCLA in '15...the places in the P12 are so much nicer than B12, and I know some will say oh "they play in Pullman and Corvallis" but those two towns are much better on the eyes than the desert of Lubbock, Ames, Manhatten, Topeka. Etc..
Bottom line is, instead of the doomed B12; Holmoe needs to find a way to get Dr. Evil (Hill) to lobby for expanding and including BYU.
