I love independence/WCC, and I don't wanna go back, but I think I know why the
MWC was more fun. The basketball is no worse....in fact at the top it's much better than the 1-bid MWC. It's not even the small gyms.
It's the fact there are no fans outside Spokane. We lose to New Mexico and the obnoxious Lobo fans are lining up to tell you about it.
Lose to San Diego and nothing.
And worse, when you win a big non-Gonzaga there's nobody to give the business.
Just feels like we're kind of all alone sometimes.

Nope. The WCC has significantly better history, is better this year, and has been better in 3 of the last 4 years.
