I agree with you. It is not apples to apples, all I am saying is it is not really that hard to get in for the youth of today. Yes they turn away about half of the kids that apply but the kids that get turned away probably did not belong at BYU Provo. They probably should go to BYU Idaho where the acceptance rate is close to 100%. I love the Y and loved my time there but we should not promote how prestigious it is based on its selectivity. For me the Y is a great school because of the amazing environment and the overall character of the student body and the teachers.
