Missions and the honor code do make things difficult, but don't act like the head coach at BYU doesn't have some major advantages that other schools don't have that cancel things out, especially at the mid-major level. Massive fan base, significantly more financing than other WCC and mid major schools, one of the biggest arenas in college basketball, top 25 attendance in the NCAAs. I can think of a couple of Pac 12 schools that would envy what Rose has built in here at BYU. I'm pretty sure every coach in the WCC would love to have what Rose has in terms of resources.
